Fasting - Drink a lot of water to make sure there's no room for anything else (but don't drown yourself either... it can happen!). It's totally fine to drink juice tea and coffee just as long as you don't get too much sugar. Ocean spray makes diet juice which is only about 5 calories a glass. I personally love the stuff since I like juice and I don't have to feel guilty about drinking it. Chewing sugar-free gum is a great way to kill your appetite if you get any cravings especially if you buy the dessert flavors or if you like mints or cinnamon.

Purging - Chew your food well when you're eating. It may be hard to remember but it makes things a lot easier. Standing up when you purge, pushing your knees or elbows into your stomach, eating softer things and avoiding foods that tend to clump like meat or breads and chips can make it much less painful to get rid of. Seeing blood is bad. If you do, you should stop and get help.

Diet Pills - FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! You do NOT want to overdose. Taking more than the recommended amount won't speed up your weight loss. It could give you a heart attack or any number of other  medical problems you don't want. Always use any pill with caution.

Ipecac - DO NOT USE. PERIOD. It damages your heart and doesn't even get rid of 100% of what's in your stomach. If you absolutely need to purge, use your fingers or the back of a toothbrush but be gentle! I don't recommend purging at all but if you do it already then please be careful.

Laxatives and Diuretics - Don't really help. Diuretics take away water weight (which you will always gain back. Your body is made up of water! You need it!) and  laxatives get rid of waste faster. you'll end up messing up your digestive system and make it impossible to go to the bathroom on your own. Its gross but true.

Exercise - Go at your own pace and don't hurt yourself. It really is okay to take a break when you need it.
